Every year on August 29, players in Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise will receive a quest that honors the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
This was revealed by Deadly Premonition 2’s director, Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, on Twitter. Swery states, “We give thanks to the many people who allowed us to photograph things, and to those who were kind enough to share with us their painful memories during our research.” It’s worth noting that Deadly Premonition 2 takes place in Le Carré, a fictional town in Louisiana.
Players can experience the event by waiting for August 29 or changing the Switch’s internal clock to said date. Some players already have and found out the event gives players a new song and a blue checkmark on the map. By going to that place on the map, they receive a quest that can only be done on that day.
Deadly Premonition 2 released on July 10, 2020, and is currently exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
Dave’s first Nintendo platform was the GameCube when he was age 7; however, he was introduced to Nintendo through Duck Hunt on NES.
