Disney Classics coming to the Nintendo Switch

Remember those 16-bit platformer games by Disney, that I found brutally hard, The Lion King and Aladdin, they are making a comeback to the Nintendo Switch.

Originally released on the Super Nintendo, Genesis, and Gameboy, these games are getting a re-release in the form of The Disney Classics: Aladdin and the Lion King. The games will come out this fall on October 29 at the price of $29.99.

The pack will include the Genesis version of Aladdin and the SNES version of The Lion King. It will feature updated HD graphics, instant save states, and a rewind button that allows players to back-up 15 seconds of gameplay.

I am looking forward to these changes as I can still see how upset Rafiki was at me for losing over and over in the “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” level. They will also feature some behind-the-scenes interviews and art work from the original creation of these games.

With Disney releasing both of their remakes of The Lion King and Aladdin it makes sense to release these games which both sold pretty well back in 1993 and 1994.

Are you looking forward to these classics coming back? Did you play them in the past? I personally think it may be good for me to get these because maybe now I can actually beat the games. I am a little older now and I have some tools to use to make the journey easier on the Switch version with the saves and rewind features. What do you think?
