New Information Regarding Super Nintendo World Japan Announced

Super Nintendo World, a new Mario themed park being added onto Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan has released a slew of new information regarding the park. The park is planned on opening before the 2020 Olympics in Japan later this summer and looks like it will truly be an amazing adventure.

The park features different worlds from the Super Mario franchise, each having their own rides and attractions. One of the newest announcements about it is that attendees will be given their own “Power Up Band.” With this wrist band, attendees will be able to collect coins and compete with their friends, family, and other attendees at the park. This will be coupled with their own mobile app that works as a map, create a profile, unlock achievements, and track activities park-goers participate in. Incorporating a mobile app into the park offers a wider range of activities for visitors to have fun with, essentially making this download a necessary one. Because this is new, hopefully, it has gone through rigorous testing. With any app that has come out, developers need to look into how they can ‘audit the security of your mobile app‘ as well as ‘check your mobile app for bugs’, and so on, to make sure that any issues are dealt with before it is launched. Who knows, maybe you’ll be able to cash in some coins for some cool exclusive Super Nintendo World memorabilia. They are touting it as a “life-size, living video game” according to Thierry Coup, the chief creative officer of Universal Creative.

Like stated before, the park will be opening first in Osaka before the 2020 Olympics. After that, they plan on bringing it to Hollywood, California and Orlando, Florida, though no official timeline was given. The last thing that was given was an amazing trailer/ music video for the park that will be posted down below.

  1. Haha, I’d love to go to this, but I’m not traveling to Japan. I will just have to be patient and wait for it to hit here in Florida. Orlando is only 2 hours from me, so I can wait :D!
