Nintendo Download for March 31, 2016 – North America

Back to the 2016 trend, Wii U outpaces 3DS by a huge margin!

When we thought that the 3DS was going to continue with some momentum, it falls back and watches the Wii U fly by in today’s Nintendo Download.  There’s an interesting selection of games that released today!  Let’s dive right in!

There’s an all time low for the 3DS eShop this week with just a single title and the continued Fire Emblem Fates DLC this week.  That lonely title is Justice Chronicles.  It’s an RPG adventure that features a knight that must make the ultimate sacrifice and give up his life to save a maiden by making a deal with the God of Death.  There are over forty hours of content, so if you are needing a new RPG to play, this game will fill that void.  Those that have not purchased the Map pack for Fire Emblem Fates, it is still available for purchase.  The new map dropping today is Vanguard Dawn which will be familiar for those that played the Wii game, Radiant Dawn.

The Wii U side is packed with six titles and demo.  First, on the list is a demo version of Pokkén Tournament.  You can try-before-you-buy with this free demo.  Headlining the main titles on the Wii U eShop are Lovely Planet and Mario Super Sluggers.  Lovely Planet will be familiar to those that played the Nindies at Home demos that launched during E3 last year.  This is the first person shooter where you will have an infinite supply of bullets and must choose to dodge or fire back at your enemies.  Mario Super Sluggers is added to the Wii Virtual Console catalog featuring a large variety of characters.  While I did not personally enjoy this title due to the motion controls, this title is now available for those that missed out.  Also dropping in are 6-Hand Video Poker, Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus, Now I Know My ABCs, and Pixlcross.

There is a new activity this week for fans of Star Fox, and those that enjoy drawing.  There is a new art contest on Miiverse titled “Miiverse Star Fox Zero Intergalactic Art Event”.  As always, you can check out the full list of all new releases, prices, discounts, and more below. Be sure to share your thoughts on this week’s downloads, and let us know if you plan on downloading any of them.
