It is almost expected that after a week of minimal releases that the following week has a larger selection available. Leading the blaze is Fire Emblem Echos: Shadows of Valentia.
The 3DS has the largest selection this week. If you’ve been actively playing Fire Emblem Heroes on your mobile device, you are well aware that the latest entry in the series is releasing tomorrow. Use Alm and Celica to fend off dragons and explore dungeons! This title is a remake of a previous Japanese exclusive entry in the series, so it melds modern and legacy aspects of series. For the super fans, you can also purchase the DLC in the typical forms. The first pack individually, or perhaps splurge on the season pass to receive all packs as they release. Also available are Drancia Saga, Mysterious Stars 3D: Road to Idol, Mysterious Stars 3D: A Fairy Tale, and Dodgebox.
Switching over to the Switch eShop, you can play the demo of Disgaea 5 Complete. The full game will release next week on May 23, so you can play the first few levels to see if it’s the game for you. It is a strategy RPG with hundreds of hours of gameplay. Or you can always check out Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical, ACA NEOGEO GALAXY FIGHT: UNIVERSAL WARRIORS, and Thumper.
The Wii U gets a few new releases this week including one new virtual console game. The latest title is Blazing Lazers from the TurboGrafx-16. It is a shooter game where you can collect power-ups to assist you defeating enemies and bosses. It is fast-paced and action packed, so keep your trigger finger ready. Or if you are looking for something simple, Pinball is available today. On May 23, you can also check out Darksiders: Warmastered Edition.
