Did you want an Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Luigi’s Mansion 3, or Ring Fit Adventure theme for Tetris 99 but missed them the first time around? They’re back, and you’ll only need 50 points, rather than 100, to get them in the 16th MAXIMUS Cup.
As Nintendo stated in their press release, “The Tetris 99 16th MAXIMUS CUP lowers the requirement to 50 event points and offers a curated selection of revival themes from past events.”
The Tetris 99 16th MAXIMUS CUP event will begin at 12:00 am Pacific Time on August 14 and run until 11:59 pm Pacific Time on August 22, 2020, taking place in three rounds:
- Round 1 (Aug. 14-16): Animal Crossing: New Horizons theme reward
- Round 2 (Aug. 17-19): Luigi’s Mansion 3 theme reward
- Round 3 (Aug. 20-22): Ring Fit Adventure theme reward
If you want to participate, in addition to having a digital or physical version of Tetris 99, you will also need a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
