Have you been enjoying Tetris 99 like the rest of us? This free-to-play game took the Switch world by storm, and it is only getting better. Nintendo just announced the first downloadable content for the game and the next big event.
The Big Block DLC Season Pass is available now for $9.99 and adds two new modes: CPU Battle has you battling against 98 CPUs, and Marathon is the classic single-player mode. Both modes are available to play offline, which means you can still play it without a Nintendo Switch Online membership or internet access. According to the press release, more modes will be added later.
If you think you have what it takes to beat all the other Tetris 99 players out there, be sure to join the next MAXIMUS CUP, which begins on May 17, 2019. Similar to the last event, it will be free to enter. You will gain points for each online game you play during the three-day event, even if you do not win. If you gain 100 points, you will unlock a Game Boy in-game theme.
