Plenty of Virtual Console games and more available in today’s Nintendo Download!
Nintendo’s presence at E3 wrapped up yesterday which yielded plenty of details on games arriving this summer and the fall. There are some solid virtual console games included in today’s update with a surprise release of Rhythm Heaven Megamix. So let’s jump right in!
Wait what? If you heard our podcast on Tuesday, June 14, you may remember Barry talking about what happened to Rhythm Heaven Megamix. It certainly surprised us all that it was announced it was going to the eShop yesterday. In case you missed the coverage yesterday, it is a rhythm game where you bash buttons to funky tunes a variety of different beats. It includes the GBA version which was never released in the US! The SNES classics on the New 3DS XL system expands with Mega Man 7. Jump, shoot and take down robot masters yet again to foil Dr. Wily’s plan to take over the world. Also dropping on the 3DS eShop are Gunslugs and a free demo version of The Legend of Dark Witch 2.
Heading to the Wii U side is Terraria which is a game where you will dig, explore, fight, build in this adventure game. You get the opportunity to create as you see fit and see a variety of different fantasy worlds. The virtual console gets two additions with the GBA classic Drill Dozer and Wii game Super Paper Mario. With Paper Mario: Color Splash dropping this fall on October 7, relive the Wii edition where you go between 2D and 3D and even recruit Peach and Bowser! Drill Dozer is an action game where you jump across pits, latch onto lifts all to retrieve the stolen red diamond. You can even upgrade your robot to help you further. Also available on the Wii U eShop are Run Run and Die and Twin Robots.
Fans of the Nintendo Badge Arcade will be happy to know that starting today and lasting through June 22, you get TWO free plays daily. Log in today to get chances to decorate your home menu with a variety of Legend of Zelda badges! The mega Nintendo eShop sale is on through this weekend, so make sure you have a My Nintendo Account, and you can save up to 40% on games like Splatoon, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Box Boy! and even virtual console games in the Legend of Zelda series or Pokemon series.
