Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II for Nintendo Switch 2 will arrive on October 1, 2026, in the west and today in Japan.
According to Square Enix, here is what you can expect in the Switch 2 versions:
- Available individually physical and digital (or digital bundle).
- Physical versions will be Game Key Cards.
- Improved resolution and frame rate.
- Octopath I will be 4GB, and Octopath II will be 7GB.
- No upgrade path from Switch 1 version.
- No save data transfer between Switch 1 & 2 versions.
