The recently announced Project Sonic 2017 wont be a sequel to any past Sonic game, but a new IP in the series itself! According to a tip over at NintendoEverything. Takashi Iizuka, a well-known developer in Sonic Team has said that the upcoming title isn’t a sequel.
The game is slated for release on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo’s mysterious NX. This might indicate the amount of power developers might be playing with for games on the console.
