Following the idea that Nintendo simply stripped out all the updates from the January Nintendo Direct, is a development update on Metroid Prime 4.
Metroid Prime 4 was announced at E3 2017. The game had just started development. Since then, we have not had a single update. Today, Shinya Takahashi offered an update on the game.
He stated that the development process has not reached the standards that Nintendo strives for. It was not meeting the quality that the series and fans need. So, in an effort to make sure that the game is delivered at these standards, they decided to involve Retro Studios in the development process. By doing this, they need to start from scratch. Finally, this means that this is the first delay that the game has now received.
I know I am personally saddened by this update, but also excited. I know Retro Studios did a fantastic job with the first trilogy. It is only sad since I will have to wait longer to play this game. If you wish to watch the video yourself, check it out below:
