Capcom has announced that the recently released turn-based JRPG in the Monster Hunter series has already shipped 1 million units worldwide.
This news comes by way of the official Monster Hunter Twitter account. They even provided special artwork to celebrate the occasion:
Capcom also notes that the 1 million sales is a combination of the Switch and PC versions and the Monster Hunter series as a whole has shipped 72 million units as of March 31, 2021.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 released on July 9. It was not the only new Monster Hunter game for Switch this year as Monster Hunter Rise released on March 26 to great success.
