The highly anticipated Nintendo Direct finally took place on June 9, 2026. The showcase was just over 50 minutes and highlighted upcoming Switch 1 & 2 games. In fact, most of the games are coming to Switch 2, which was a big change from previous Directs, marking a big shift for Nintendo moving forward. There ware also a large number of third-party games featured in this Direct. The biggest announcements were probably a new Xenoblade game, Kingdom Hearts IV, and a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
