Early this morning, January 16, Masahiro Sakurai, the director of the Smash Bros. series, shared another update on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch. We learned what the last DLC character would be in the Fighter Pack 1, he showed us the next round of Mii costumes, we saw the next amiibo, and we found out there will be six characters coming in Fighter Pack 2.
Let’s check out the details!
NEW CHARACTER: Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses is coming to Smash on January 28 as a part of the Fighter Pack and available to purchase individually. He/She can wield a sword, axe, lance, and bow. Byleth will also bring 11 new songs and a new traveling stage modeled after the Garreg Mach Monastery.
SPIRIT BOARD & CLASSIC MODE UPDATE: Both the Sprit Board and Classic Modes will receive updates based on Fire Emblem.
MII COSTUMES: Starting on January 28, you can purchase Mii costumes inspired by Cuphead, Rabbids, Assassin’s Creed/Altaïr, Mega Man X, and Mega Man Battle Network. The Cuphead costume will also come with a new music track, Floral Fury.
AMIIBO: Two more amiibo figures will be available on very soon. You can grab Dark Samus and Simon Belmon tomorrow, January 17.
FIGHTER PASS VOLUME 2: Byleth will complete the first pack, but the second pack will contain six more DLC characters. You can begin to pre-purchase the entire pack on January 28 for $29.99. And if you do, you will receive an exclusive Mii Swordfighter costume of the Ancient Soldier Gear from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
