This week’s Nintendo Download highlights Lies of P, new Virtual Boy games for Nintendo Classics, Pokémon Pokopia DLC, upcoming in-game events, and more.

Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2

  • Lies of P: Complete Edition – Experience the complete journey of Geppetto’s puppet in this soulslike game optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2 system. In this tale, you are caught in a web of lies amidst a world of unimaginable monsters and untrustworthy figures. Your decisions determine your humanity – and the choices you made in the past ripple through the present. Whether you are comforting a soul in despair or seeking vengeance alongside the Legendary Stalker, every action shapes the narrative, leading to multiple endings. The collection also includes the haunting prequel expansion, Lies of P: Overture, alongside the base game in one seamless package. Lies of P: Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is available today.

Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics:

  • ZERO RACERS – Enter the future in this never-before-released racing title for the Virtual Boy system, which takes place 10 years before the turn of the 30th century. Compete for the highest rank in your machine of choice on courses of interconnected square ducts. You must maintain a rank within each lap’s specified range and finish in the top three to advance to the next course. Fly through Rapid Marks on each course to obtain RAPID and use that to give yourself a temporary speed boost! ZERO RACERS is available now for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.
  • D-HOPPER – When prime minister Lexer stages a rebellion in the faraway land of Celestia and sends pursuers after Prince Dorin, the prince is cornered and ultimately falls deep underground. Now, having been rescued by fairies, it’s time for Prince Dorin to return home and seek four spirits who have gone missing from Faeron along the way. Leap and fly across floating floors and defeat enemies blocking your path to advance. When you locate each of the four missing spirits, you’ll be able to transform into a dragon that wields special techniques! This never-before-released Virtual Boy adventure game, D-HOPPER, is available now for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.

DLC:

  • Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass – Part 1: Bubbly Basin – The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass – Part 1: Bubbly Basin paid DLC for the Pokémon Pokopia game is available now! Use the move Dive to make a splash in the new underwater town, Bubbly Basin. Grow watermelons with the help of Pokémon with the Water specialty, power bubble machines or activate streetlights using Pokémon with the Generate specialty and make buildings which float at different levels using buoyant blocks. Traverse a hole in the sea floor to explore the deep sea, all while discovering more Pokémon, new outfits, a power-up for the move Surf, and a newly added prepared food – smoothies! Game Trials:

  • NBA 2K26 – From Aug. 7 at 10 a.m. PT until Aug. 13 at 11:59 p.m. PT, Nintendo Switch Online members can download and try the full NBA 2K26 games for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems at no additional cost. If you decide to purchase the game during or after this offer, you’ll keep all your save data, so you won’t have to worry about losing your progress. Additionally, Nintendo Switch Online members can complete a mission and earn 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points just by participating in this Game Trial!

  • Stereo-scopic Sounds – Prepare to enter the third dimension! Tracks from five Virtual Boy games have been added to Nintendo Music.   • Fanfare for Worthy Fighters – Excited to enter the Heroic Games when the Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave game launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on Sept. 17? Warm up your sword hand with a special release of some tracks from the upcoming title on Nintendo Music before you adventure into Dagsion!
  • Tracks on Tracks! – Don’t pump the brakes just yet! More Free Roam tracks from the Mario Kart World game have raced onto Nintendo Music. Enjoy even more memorable Mario Kart tunes with the Free Roam with Mario Kart 7, Free Roam with Mario Kart Tour and Free Roam with Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit playlists.

Activities

  • Tetris® 99 56th MAXIMUS CUP – Make a splash in the Tetris® 99 game during its 56th MAXIMUS CUP event! Nintendo Switch Online members playing the Tetris 99 online mode during the event period can collect 100 event points to unlock a new in-game theme featuring art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by the Splatoon Raiders game. The Tetris 99 56th MAXIMUS CUP event will run from 12 a.m. PT on Aug. 7 to 11:59 p.m. PT on Aug. 10. Additionally, there’s more Tetris 99 fun to be had with a limited time event happening until Aug. 16 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Collect in-game themes from past events for just 2 tickets each. If you’re playing Tetris 99 for the very first time, you’ll earn 10 tickets right away!
