Nintendo Download for March 16, 2017 – North America

Calling all classic indie games, make your way over to the Switch!  That is the major theme of the Nintendo Download today with five new titles coming to the Switch, with four of them being available on other consoles.  Not sure what to make of it, but Wii U eShop takes home the crown today with six new titles. Check it out below!

While true that many of the Switch games available today are ports, they are definitely high-quality games.  For instance, there is a version of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ on the Wii U and 3DS.  However, this version is powered up with new characters, secrets, enemies, bosses and everything.  The best part is that no two runs are the same.  Each dungeon is completely random and each power-up that can be found is random.  Those that had the Wii U at launch may remember Little Inferno.  Become a pyromaniac and burn everything!  Collect coins, and buy more things to burn!

You can always check out the WiiWare classic, World of Goo.  It is a physics based puzzle/construction game.  Solve a variety of different puzzles with these Goo balls that have no idea they are in a game and apparently very delicious.  You can also check out a Neo Geo classic game with ACA NEOGEO THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’94.  The last remaining title is Human Resource Machine.  Want to manage an office building?  Well, now you can.  Hire workers, get them to do the job for the boss, and then get promoted to take on new challenges.

The 3DS eShop gets three titles, with one of them being a demo.  Explore the demo of Fairune2 and if you like what you play then you can purchase the full version.  The other two titles also appear on the Wii U eShop which are Double Breakout and Sudoku Party.   So if you enjoy Sudoku, be sure to attend the party that is happening at the eShop.  Or you can destroy blocks in Double Breakout.  It is a combination of the classic Breakout game and Pong.

Finally, over on the Wii U eShop after you’ve checked out of the Sudoku Party and Double Breakout II, head over to the Virtual console for Picross 3D.  The DS classic is now available on Wii U with the full support of Off-TV play.  Solve puzzles, create 3D pictures and more!  Also dropping in are ACE – Alien Cleanup Elite, VROG, and Sky Force Anniversary.
