Tomorrow is #Switchmas! Are you ready for the Switch launch? This week is filled with Switch titles and a few others. This has to be the maximum number of sections I have ever seen for the Nintendo Download. We have three different Nintendo consoles, a Mobile section, DLC, sales and featured activities. This will be the largest one for some time, I imagine. Check it out below!
You’ve heard us talk about the Switch a lot on the Podcast, perhaps read over our thoughts on Switch events, and everything is Switch, Switch, Switch. Here we are, the Switch eShop explodes with nine new titles. There is a small indie game called The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that I’m sure you have never heard of until just now. It’s an adventure game where you go exploring this massive world to rescue this princess named Zelda from the clutches of Ganon. Surely, you’ve never heard of a game called the Legend of Zelda, right? All joking aside, this incredible experience will start tomorrow when the Switch is available for purchase.
Also available at launch are 1-2-Switch, Snipperclips – Cut it out, Together!, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, Just Dance 2017, Super Bomberman R, I Am Setsuna, and FAST RMX. Each game in its own right deserves a quality introduction but we will have to save that for future blog posts. We at NintendoFuse hope to cover a number of these games with reviews over the coming weeks.
The titles available on Wii U and 3DS are considered footnotes in this release. The Wii U eShop also gets The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so if you are not Switching it up, you can still purchase the game for Wii U. There are also a few Virtual Console games available with Dungeon Explorer, and NEUTOPIA. The 3DS sees a third consecutive week with a single title with STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns.
Are you purchasing the Nintendo Switch for a child in your home? Well, if that’s the case you can download the parental control application on your IOS and/or Android devices. Monitor the games they play, set restrictions on play time and more using this friendly application. It is available for free on your device. We previously posted a video on some of those features, so be sure to look into this.
If you are a Legend of Zelda fan like us, you may have heard that there will be DLC for Breath of the Wild. You can purchase the Expansion pass now and get three free treasure chests today and get upcoming DLC patches available this summer and holiday for free. This gives you access to both patches when they launch later this year for various new weapons, combat, and more.
