The phrase “old is new again” pops up quite a bit in today’s media. We see remakes and reboots of movies, songs, TV shows, and games all the time. Nintendo is no exception. They even mentioned this at the launch of the Nintendo Switch, when they stated all the influences that went into the design of their newest console. The same phrase could be said for this week’s Nintendo Download, especially in the lead games.
Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers brings back the original roster with a few slight changes to bring both the 16-bit and HD graphics to Switch tomorrow, May 25. There’s also a new first-person motion-controlled that we are hearing is not that great. Disgaea 5 Complete is also out for Switch, and it brings all 8 bonus scenarios, 4 fan-favorite characters, and 3 character classes that were originally DLC in the PlayStation 4 release of Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance.
For those looking to get more out of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia on Nintendo 3DS, all the DLC packs, as well as the individual components included in each pack, can now be purchased separately, which gives you the flexibility to buy as many or as few as you want. The details on those packages are listed below.
If none of those interest you, or if you are looking for more, you can also download Astro Duel Deluxe starting May 30 on Switch, or you can get ACA NEOGEO THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’99 on Switch, Drone Fight on 3DS, Block Zombies! on Wii U, and The Girl and the Robot on Wii U today!
As always, the full release list is below, along with the prices, just below the slideshow of screenshots. If you plan on downloading any of these games, let us know in the comments!
