This is a big week since it is the start of a new generation for Nintendo’s competitors, Sony & Microsoft. Despite all this, it’s a big retail week for Switch. The very anticipated Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin finally releases: a 2D side-scrolling action game with a unique art-style. Friday the 13th sees the release of the Indieszero-developed rhythm game, KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory (which is canon) and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered (a return to Nintendo platforms). If that rhythm and racing game isn’t enough, you can also play Just Dance 2021 and Speed 3: Grand Prix. There’s also a side-scrolling water slide racing game starring social media influencers? The digital front is pretty odd this week. The big one is a FUSER, a DJ rhythm game from the fine folks at Harmonix. The odd one is a Christmas adventure game starring Santa Claus that’s also sold at retail with a download code in a box. Apart of that, there’s a surprising amount of zombie-themed games, a game about Slavs, and a bus driving simulator.
