Since the Switch turns 4 years old today, the NPD group has revealed the number games have launched on Nintendo Switch in the U.S. market in its entire lifecycle so far.
According to Matt Piscatella of NPD Group, 4,839 games have launched on Nintendo Switch in the U.S. market through the end of February 2021.
For comparison, the Wii U had 902 total releases in its entire life.
Despite being a slow year for releases, 2020 had 1,530 games released. Interestingly, the chart indicates that the number of Switch games released in the U.S. market has increased year by year. It makes you wonder how long Switch can keep up this pace.
