Nintendo may have not had any world premieres during The Game Awards 2021, but that did not stop third-parties from showing up.
Here are all the announcements that pertain to Nintendo Switch:
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the 2014 Xbox 360 and PS3 fighting game will be re-released for Nintendo Switch and PC on March 17, 2022. This marks the fourth Persona spin-off to make its way to a Nintendo platform.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak received another trailer showcasing a new monster. This big expansion for Monster Hunter Rise will release in Summer 2022. Three new amiibo were also shown.
The Lord of the Rings Gollum is set to release for Nintendo Switch and other platforms. No release window was given.
More details were shown for Sonic Frontiers, the next mainline, 3D Sonic game from Sega’s Sonic Team. It appears to open-world. It is set to launch on Nintendo Switch and other platforms in Holiday 2022.
Finally, the long-awaited DLC for Cuphead, The Delicious Last Course had gameplay shown for the first time. First announced at E3 2018, the DLC will finally arrive on June 30, 2022.
