While it was rumored and even predicted on our last podcast, Nintendo fans still woke up surprised this morning to see a Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct this morning sitting on their YouTube subscriptions page along with several announcements that were not included in the original rumors.
Last month, Epic Games made the huge announcement that Rocket League was soon going free-to-play across all platforms. According to a follow-up announcement today, we also found out that Nintendo Switch players will also be able to play online without the need for a paid Nintendo Online account. They also provided a lot more details on new ranks, challenges, friend list, modes, hit boxes, playlists, and more.
