With Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury being month out, Nintendo has decided to drop a 7-minute trailer for the game after yesterday’s 2-minute trailer.
Super Mario 3D World has the same levels and co-op action of the original; however, this version also allows for online multiplayer with friends (a first for a 3D Mario game). Just like Super Mario Odyssey, this version implements a photo mode. You can also use the stamps you collect for photo decorating. The original game used the stamps for the now defunct Miiverse service.
Amiibo support is now implemented. The new Cat Mario and Cat Peach Amiibo will give the player the invincible “White Cat” power-up and a random power-up, respectively. The Bowser and Bowser Jr. amiibo summon Fury Bowser and a shockwave, respectively.
Speaking of Bowser, the new Bowser’s Fury mode takes place in Lake Lapcat where Mario and Bowser Jr. must team up to explore and collect the “Cat Shines” throughout the area. Bowser Jr. can also be controlled by a second player. Fury Bowser will randomly wake up and attack, adding to the challenge.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will release on February 12, 2021, for Nintendo Switch.
Dave’s first Nintendo platform was the GameCube when he was age 7; however, he was introduced to Nintendo through Duck Hunt on NES.
