Amidst the rumors of another Nintendo Direct, Nintendo just sent us a press release for the next Indie World Showcase. It will be tomorrow, August 18, and it will run for approximately 20 minutes starting at 9:00 am Pacific Time (12:00 pm Eastern Time).
Retro Studios, a Nintendo first-party studio best known for the Metroid Prime series, has announced they are hiring for a lead producer. The Texas-based studio said, on Twitter, “We are looking for a Lead Producer to join us on our journey to develop Metroid Prime 4!”

Ultimate was revealed to have sold another 1.19 million units. Its lifetime sales numbers are currently at 19.99 million. Because of these sales, the long-running and beloved Super Smash Bros. series has now crossed 60 million sales worldwide!
Nintendo Co., Ltd. has released their hardware sales for the first fiscal quarter of the 2020-2021 fiscal year. This quarter covers a three-month period from April 1 to June 30 of this year. The Nintendo Switch is now at a lifetime sales of 61.44 million worldwide. In the previous quarter, it was at 55.76 million, meaning it sold 5.68 million units in the past quarter.
