There have been constant rumors surrounding Nintendo Direct videos all year, but they were especially heating up this last week with industry experts saying we would get one as early as August 28. Either they were wrong or someone at Nintendo hit the publish button too early, because awoke to a surprise Partner Showcase this morning, August 26.
There has been talk about a Nintendo Direct presentation for several months. The last one we had was on September 4, 2019. Many expected one in January and also February. Now, here we are almost at the end of March with a surprise drop of a Nintendo Direct Mini with nearly 29 minutes of Nintendo Switch games coming this year (that is if the COVID-19 virus doesn’t delay anything).

Early this morning, we got seven action-packed minutes of Pokémon news about the newest RPG adventures in the main series.
The much rumored January 2019 edition of the Nintendo Direct never happened, even though many were hoping for it. Instead, we got a short video featuring indie titles and a few email press releases. So when it came to the rumors of a February Direct, many of us started wondering if this was a “Boy Who Cried Wolf” scenerio again. Fortunately, we were greated with an announcement yesterday that confirmed the video would go live on February 13. Let’s recap what was announced!
